Allen Groenke is a registered patent attorney with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. After earning his engineering degree, Allen worked as an engineer in new product design and manufacturing for both large established corporations and small startups. During this time, Allen became a named inventor on seven U.S. patents. Working through the patenting process inspired Allen to earn a Juris Doctorate degree and become a patent attorney. At three law firms in Minneapolis, Allen has had the opportunity to advise inventors and business people working in a wide variety of technology areas. For six years, Allen worked as an in-house patent advisor to the founder of a medical device startup (BridgePoint Medical) that was acquired by Boston Scientific in October 2012.
